BOLIVIA HOLIDAYS

Bolivia is the stuff of legend

Follow Butch and Sundance or Che Guevara to the most adventurous country on the continent on your very own Bolivia holiday. Due to its lack of tourists, Bolivia still feels very unspoiled exactly how you would imagine life in South America to be. Journey through the large areas of pristine wilderness and see indigenous cultures, traditions and beliefs that haven’t changed for centuries.

Landing in La Paz, the highest capital in the world, will leave you breathless, not only from the high altitude, but the sight of a city surrounded by snow-capped mountains. Wander and explore the colourful street markets and visit the witch markets.

A mysterious and diverse country of high plateaus, isolated lakes, lush tropical forests, snow-capped volcanoes, colourful deserts and vast blinding-white salt lakes.  Go at the right time to see some of Latin America’s most fascinating festivals. Trekking is always a big part of a journey to Bolivia, be it through the steamy rainforests or snowy mountain passes and with varying degrees of difficulty.

An Bolivia holiday works very well with the neighbouring countries of Peru, Chile and Argentina.  Like always our destination experts will discuss your requirements and create an expedition to the country based on your tastes and budget.

Being beyond most tour routes means you will not be harassed on every corner. You should be prepared for some long, bumpy road journeys and hotels in the more remote places are simple, but usually set within fantastic landscapes. Try a hotel made entirely from salt near Uyuni.

You will be rewarded with an authentic South American experience.

When to go:

This very much depends on where you are going. Generally the best time to visit is April to November although July and August are also the busiest months. Some of the best festivals fall during the wet season between December and March

All our tailor made Bolivia holidays are individually designed, but as a guide we can arrange a 12 day itinerary from £3,500 including flights
