CachaloteBoat overviewDesigned and built in California in 1971 with comfort in mind, Cachalote (meaning "sperm whale" in Spanish) is a steel-hulled ketch-rigged motor sailor. Rebuilt and refurbished in 2002, she is more spacious and now has private bathrooms. With standard safety equipment and ample deck space, Cachalote is small enough for a close look at the Enchanted Isles. She is also known for the excellent service of her crew, the tasty food, and knowledgeable naturalist guides. Relax on one of the three ample wooden decks or go dolphin-watching from the bow. The teakwood cabins are illuminated by the light of its two porthole windows. Tasty food is served in the Victorian-style dining galley. The ship has capacity for up to 16 passengers in upper/lower berths or one double berth and is fully air conditioned throughout. Facilities include a main saloon with TV/DVD, and three wooden decks ideal for relaxing, admiring the view, or sun bathing. The Cachalote is also fully equipped for diving trips. Please contact us for detailed itineraries and prices. |
