Day 1: El Calafate – Torres del Paine
In the morning board the coach in El Calafate and start a 6 hours journey, across the mythical Patagonian steppe to the border from Argentina into Chile. Leave the coach after clearing immigration in Chile. You will have an hour to relax while you wait for the Via Terra Coach departing at 1330 hrs. You will be met and will visit to the Milodon Cave, prior to driving to Torres del Paine National Park. Arrival and accommodation. (No meals included)
Days 2 & 3. Torres del Paine National Park
Days at leisure to enjoy this amazing park and visit its 3 highlights: Las Torres area, Lake Nordenskiold and Lago Grey. (B)
Optional tour: Full day visit to Torres del Paine including its most interesting areas: Las Torres and Cuernos (Horns), Lake Nordenskiold and Lake Grey and other areas of outstanding beauty such as Salto Chico, where the famous Hotel Explora is located, Laguna Pehoe, maybe the most scenic place in the park and the trails at Rio Serrano.
Optional tour: Half day tour to Cerro Paine Trail. It is a 3-4 hours hike of easy to moderate level of difficulty. Woodpeckers, spinetails, condors and eagles are only just an example of the amazing Patagonian fauna easily spotted from the path. Mountains, hills, lakes and river frame this area of majestic beauty.
