Chile

Chile is located on the Pacific Coast of South America and has over 2,500 miles of coastline, a distance equivalent to Madrid/Moscow or San Francisco/New York. The two main landmarks are the Pacific Ocean and the Andes mountain chain, which run the entire length of the country. Such vast length make Chile a country of contrasts, from the stunning scenery of the Atacama Desert, to the beautiful valleys of the wine producing Central Region, to the lakes, rivers, volcanoes and forests of the south and the fjords and challenging ice fields of Patagonia.

Three fascinating islands are found in the Pacific Ocean: Easter Island, with its world famous mysterious statues; Robinson Crusoe, named after the man who was shipwrecked and renowned for its unique natural attractions; Chiloé, a charming enclave in the South Pacific with interesting architecture and full of myths and natural beauty.
