The Malvina House Hotel
The Malvina House Hotel, Stanley's premiere hotel, would be our recommendation for all our clients staying in Stanley. With all the facilities expected of a modern hotel, including an excellent restaurant, en suite rooms with TV and telephone, sauna, jacuzzi, and comfortable lounge and bar areas, the hotel offers a comfortable and friendly base for your stay in this small capital.
B&B's & guest houses
There are other places to stay within Stanley, many of them B&Bs and Guest Houses, which we will be happy to arrange as part of your stay. All are clean and comfortable and include:
The Waterfront
Comfortable accommodation with most rooms en suite and right on the waterfront.
Lafone House
The most up market Guest House in Stanley.
Tenacres
Comfortable accommodation with shared facilities, 20 minutes' walk or a short taxi ride from the centre of Stanely. The accommodation consists of 2 twin rooms with tv and music centre and 1 single room with music centre. Meals are available on request, using local fresh produce where possible.
Scotia and Bennett Houses
Clean and comfortable accommodation, some en suite.
Kay's
A clean home offering 2 rooms with shared facilities and a cosy family atmosphere.
Darwin House
Darwin House is a modern farmhouse with 5 bedrooms available for guests and a choice of twin, double or family rooms. Two of the family bedrooms have en- suite bathrooms, each equipped with a modern spa bath. There is a large and very comfortable lounge with TV and video, a pleasant dining room and a cosy, well-stocked bar. A no-smoking policy is applied throughout the house.
Islander Rob McGill, your present day host on Carcass Island, offers visitors the pleasure of eating the Island's own organically grown meat and vegetables, prepared in true 'Camp Style'. Accommodation is provided within en suite rooms in the main house or the adjoining cottage.
Pebble Island Lodge
This lodge was built as the farm manager's house and has been ideally adapted to suit the needs of visitors. It retains the warm and friendly atmosphere of a large, traditional Falkland farmhouse and provides a superb base from which to explore the wildlife rich environment. Full board accommodation is provided, with the lodge boasting a comfortable lounge, well stocked bar, 4 twin rooms, 1 double and 1 single room, all of which are en suite.
Saunders has two pleasant and comfortable cottages within the island's settlement at which full board accommodation can be provided for groups of 5 passengers or more. Groups of less than 5 passengers will be on a self-catering basis. Food can be sent from Stanley readily prepared. The small farm shop usually sells fresh milk/cream and sometimes eggs. They also carry tinned, dried and some frozen goods.
There is also a cabin at ‘The Neck’ which offers more basic self-catering accommodation and facilities for those clients wishing to be closer to nature for their stay on the island.
Accommodation on Saunders Island has shared facilities.
Sea Lion Lodge
The Lodge, purpose built in 1986, offers very comfortable accommodation with en suite facilities in all rooms except two single rooms, which are shared. Full board accommodation is provided. Guided tours can be arranged, however guests are welcome to explore this small island having been advised at the Lodge of a few simple common-sense procedures for approaching the animals and birds you will encounter.
