Mare Australis, Stella Australis, and Via Australis cruises

We would highly recommend combining any stay or tour in Chile with a cruise on the M/V Mare Australis or her new sister ship M/V Via Australis, expedition cruise ships exploring Patagonia and Tierra del Fuego on 3, 4, or combined 7 night cruises, from September to May each year. The M/V Mare Australis sails every Saturday from the Chilean city of Punta Arenas, and every Wednesday from the Argentine city of Ushuaia in Tierra del Fuego. The M/V Via Australis sails every Wednesday from Punta Arenas, and every Saturday from Ushuaia.

M/N Magallanes

The M/N Magallanes is a cargo and passenger ferry and offers a great way to travel between Puerto Montt and Puerto Natales for those who favour an adventurous journey to luxury. The views along the way are breathtaking, as the ferry cruises through the stunning channels and fjords of Patagonia.

If time allows it, you should consider one of the many options for an extension in Antarctica.
