Located in the heart of Patagonia, 400km north of Punta Arenas, Torres del Paine National Park encompasses 242 hectares. At 51°7' latitude south and 79°59' longitude west the park is surrounded by the impressive Paine mountain range. With its unusual mountains, glaciers, rivers, lakes, waterfalls, plus unique flora and fauna, this region is considered among the most beautiful in the world. The park was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1978.
The Hotel
The architecture of the Explora hotels creates an aura of mystery, while showcasing the unfathomable beauty of the natural environment. Strategically set on the shores of Lake Pehoe, the Hotel Salto Chico was conceived as a base for exploration. It features refined comfort for total relaxation and the best equipment for exploring Patagonia. The interior design has been carefully conceived, utilising traditional lenga and cypress woods, plus handcrafted slate and copper accents.

Explorations
Guests can enjoy a wide range of carefully designed explorations. Five programmes can be chosen daily from a total of 21, selected according to weather conditions, personal preferences, duration and degree of difficulty. On foot, horseback, by van or boat and accompanied by expert guides, you will be astonished by Patagonian nature. Each excursion is operated with a maximum of 10 people per guide and with all the necessary equipment. Details available on request.
