Magic of Costa Rica16 days / 15 nights
A two-week tour of Costa Rica exploring mountain forests, volcanoes, hot springs, and Pacific and Caribbean coasts. Staying in comfortable hotels and lodges, with some optional activities or time to relax on your own.
Day 1: San José
Reception and transfer from Juan SantamarÃa international airport to the Real Comfort Hotel. Overnight.
Day 2: San José - Corcovado
Tropical breakfast then transfer to the airport for your flight to Palmar Sur (45 minutes).
Boat transfer on the Sierpe River and Pacific Coast (90 minutes). Arrival at Casa Corcovado. Rest of the afternoon at leisure to explore the park and the beach. Dinner and overnight at your bungalow.
Day 3: Corcovado
Early-morning Bird Watching Tour (optional)
Breakfast and boat transfer to Caño Island Biological Reserve.
Dinner and overnight at your bungalow.
Day 4: Corcovado
Breakfast and day tour of Corcovado National Park with lunch.
Dinner and overnight at your bungalow.
Day 5: Corcovado - Quepos / Manuel Antonio
Breakfast and transfer to Palmar Sur airport and flight to Quepos (20mns) where you will be met and transferred to Casitas Eclipse Hotel. Overnight.
(Note: The transfer from Palmar Sur to Quepos will be by ground during the low season, because local flights do not operate due to weather conditions)
Day 6: Manuel Antonio
After a rich fruit breakfast, visit to Manuel Antonio Park (half-day). Afternoon at leisure and overnight at Casitas Eclipse Hotel.
Day 7: Manuel Antonio - Monteverde
After breakfast, shuttle-bus transfer to Monteverde (4 hrs) to El Establo Hotel located in one of the most tranquil sites in the region. Afternoon at leisure and overnight.
Day 8: Monteverde
After breakfast, morning guided visit to Monteverde Cloud Forest.
Afternoon at leisure and overnight at El Establo Hotel.
Day 9: Monteverde - Tamarindo
Breakfast, then shuttle-bus transfer in the morning to the north Pacific coast of Guanacaste province, to Tamarindo beach. Overnight at Tamarindo Diria Hotel.
Day 10: Tamarindo
Breakfast, then enjoy the day relaxing on the beach. Overnight at Tamarindo Diria Hotel.
Day 11: Tamarindo - Arenal
Breakfast, then shuttle-bus transfer to Arenal area (4 hrs). Dinner and overnight at Montaña de Fuego Hotel. Rest of the day relaxing at Tabacón Hot Springs.
Day 12: Arenal
Morning at leisure and afternoon visit to Tabacon Hot Springs. Dinner and overnight in your bungalow.
Day 13: Arenal - Tortuguero
Early-morning private transfer to Matina Dock (4hrs) then boat ride to Tortuguero and Mawamba Lodge.
Afternoon tour to Tortuguero town, starting at the entrance to the beach in front of the hotel. Visit the Caribbean Conservation Corporation Museum and the village.
Dinner at lodge. Overnight.
Day 14: Tortuguero
Morning boat tour through the Tortuguero Canals and return for breakfast at the lodge.
Departure by boat to Tortuguero Hill or National Park, where you will enjoy a hiking trip on the trails.
Day 15: Tortuguero - San José
Breakfast at the lodge then transfer to board bus for return drive to San José.
Overnight at Comfort Hotel Real.
Day 16: San José
Transfer to the airport for your international departure.
