The Huaorani tribe have long inhabited the headwaters of the Amazon, living as nomadic hunters and gatherers with no outside contact until the end of the 1950s.
This is a unique opportunity to experience the Amazon through the eyes of a living indigenous culture.
While we would normally advise leaving tribal cultures alone, this native group have chosen tourism over less sustainable activities.
Huaorani Ecolodge has been designed to be an intimate and environmentally sustainable way to share time with the Huaorani and experience their natural environment with the least possible impact on the surroundings.
