Mayas and Quetzals

A custom designed tour of the natural and historical wonders of this amazingly diverse country. Our tour includes the Spanish colonial gem of Antigua; the beautiful highlands and Lake Atitlan surrounded by volcanoes; the tropical lowlands of Peten where we observe the rainforest wildlife from canopy walkways and visit the birthplace of the Mayas, Yaxha.

We explore the Mayan heritage further at the majestic jungle clad sites of Tikal, Ceibal and Coban where indigenous people still practise pre-hispanic rituals. We travel overland through the cloud forest habitat of the Quetzal, the symbolic bird of Guatemala.
