Guatemala tours

Nature & Mayan Legacy

16 days

Guatemala is indeed an amazingly diverse country — very scenic with mountains, volcanoes, lakes and tropical jungle, and where the native Indians all wear their colourful costumes.

Our in-depth tour includes the Spanish colonial gem of Antigua city; a traditional coffee farm; market days in villages such as Chichicastenango and Zunil; a stay on the shores of Lake Atitlan surrounded by volcanoes; staying on the very different Caribbean coast of Guatemala; three exciting boat trips Lake Atitlan, Rio Dulce and Ceibal; visiting the famous ruins of Tikal, the nearby new site of Yaxhá, and also Copan in Honduras.

Natural wonders include the Candelaria Caves the largest found in Central America. We travel overland through the cloud forest habitat of the Quetzal, the symbolic bird of Guatemala.
