The rustic 36-bedroom lodge is built of traditional materials to blend with the natural environment. There are two suites as well as double, twin, triple and quad rooms. All rooms have heating, hot water (from solar power), mini bar and an outdoor terrace, but no TVs. Hot water bottles are put in the beds at night which are always very welcome for the cold nights.
The hotel deliberately eschews television and other modern distractions. The rates include a sumptuous buffet breakfast. There is a restaurant services for lunch and dinner. For your moments of relaxation Colca Lodge has a spacious living room with a large fireplace, a bar and a games room with an assortment of table games. The main terrace with spectacular views of the Colca Valley, is one of the favourite spots for relaxing in the sun.
The unique attraction of Colca Lodge are 3 private thermal baths which are fed by volcanic hot springs – a perfect place to relax under the stars, after a day of sightseeing. (Note the thermal baths are closed in February and March). The Colca Lodge spa contains minerals said to have therapeutic properties.
