Finish the tour will time on Rosario Island and the Tayrona National Park.

Start in Bogota

Start your adventure in the country’s capital Bogota. Here you’ll be staying at the Hotel Musica and our local guide will be showing you around the city including a visit to the Museo del Oro that boasts a private collection of 32,000 pieces of gold, ceramic and textiles, all precious to the tribes of Colombia, to whet your taste buds for the exotic adventures to come.

Get lost

Continue with a flight to Neiva. We assign you your own personal chauffeur to begin the road-trip across Colombia’s fascinating terrain. Drive through the desert of Tatacoa and past the Magdalena River Valley towards San Agustin. Here you will stay at the Finca El Maco. The next day you’ll visit the archaeological park of San Agustin, a World Heritage Site since 1995. Explore the sacred stone statues that exude the same magical aura as those on Easter Island, Chile.

Far from the tourist crowds

Head deep into the real Colombia, off-roading into the wilderness of the Andean mountains and high altitude plains. Set foot in Popayan, a place of church splendour and ancient pyramids alike. Such is the natural bounty of this place it was the home to many botanists, the town provides a tranquil resting place where you will spend the night at the Hotel Los Portales before you make your way to Colombia’s third largest city, Cali.

Blend your own coffee

After a night in Cali you will continue on to where Colombia’s world-renowned coffee triangle where you can smell, roast and touch your own hand-picked coffee. Here you will stay at the Finca La Negrita. The region is brimming with amazing architecture such as the regal Teatro Municipal Enrique Buenaventura, built in classic Creole design to fit 1200 spectators. Climb up to the UNESCO-protected viewing points at Alto De La Paz, from where you can look down at the green carpet of coffee plantations below. The road from here to Medellin takes you past the tallest wax palms in the world, before arriving at Colombia’s second largest city.

Cultural delight

Medellin is a cultural delight, packed with art treasures, theatres and centres of learning. You will stay at the Art Hotel. To get the full impactof the city go by cable car to the mountains that overlook the area. The climate in Medellin is temperate and beautiful all year round. The city hosts a flower festival every year and the streets come alive with colour as parades of floats covered in the best blooms of the region make their way through the centre.

Colourful Cartagena

You’ll be whisked from here to Colombia’s colonial splendour and gateway to beachy paradise; Cartagena.  Stay at the Hotel Acqua Express. Brimming with 17th-Century colonial gems, churches, gardens, alleyways, and majestic castles, the sweeping views of turquoise ocean beckon you into its refreshing waves like a long lost friend. The town is the setting of Gabriel Garcia Marquez novels such as Love in a Time of Cholera, and an inspiring place to begin your exploration of the country’s coast. Jump aboard our boat trip and go island hopping to the coasts unspoilt outcrops of Rosario and Baru teeming with reefs, that provide a living adventure for diving and snorkelling. Back to nature

After days of complete relaxation we’ll take you to one of Colombia’s magical national parks at Tayrona, to explore Colombia’s jungle. Stayat the Cabañas Arrecifes overlooking the ocean and spend the last few days snorkelling, horse riding, kayaking or for the more hardy taking a hike to find the lost city in this breathtaking area before returning back to reality.
