Coffee Region

Wake up to the delicious smell of Colombian coffee

The three departments of Caldas, Risaralda and Quindio make up the so called ‘coffee triangle’. With just the right balance of sun and rain, this region makes for the perfect coffee growing climate. The fertile valleys with their seemingly endless coffee plantations, charming towns and traditional wooden houses with brightly coloured balconies are typical of the region.

The best way to see the region is to stay at one of the old coffee farms where you can learn about the cultivation and production. Try the final product each morning as you wake up to the beautiful green rolling countryside that surrounds you.

It’s not all about the coffee though; it’s a great place for other activities. Our guides can take you trekking through the hills and Nevados national park where orchids, heliconias and hummingbirds, parrots and butterflies can be seen. Marvel at the 60ft high palm trees in the Cocora valley. For an adventure try rafting or kayaking down rivers that cut through the green valleys.
