Feria de las Flores
The international flower festival held in the first week of August has spectacular parades with great music and is one of the finest shows in Colombia. Medellin itself is a beautiful city with a vibrant nightlife and cafe culture. With a short trip you can visit the seeds of this culture in La Zona Caftera (The coffee region) visit a working farm and see how it is grown then produced into some of the finest coffee in the world. Bolivia celebrates its independence day on August 6 with many Bolivians flocking to Sucre where the declaration was signed.
