Tucano Hotel

The Tucano is most certainly not a luxury vessel but for anyone looking for an adventurous experience, away from the enclose glass bubble of luxury cruising, this is most certainly for you. This is a cruise that will bring you to the very heart of Amazon life, from the flora and fauna to the local communities you will visit along the way.

The Tucano is a large boat that spans over eighty feet, so with a maximum of eighteen guests, there is plenty of room to have private space to observe the forest and wildlife and contemplate your time in the jungle.

Each of the nine private cabins are panelled with wood, have individual beds and offer private bathrooms with a shower, toilet and sink. They are comfortable and practical. There is the main salon at the front of the boat which serves as the library and dining space. With the surrounding balcony it’s a great place to see views of the forest. On the top deck, there is a large observation space from which much wildlife can be spotted. Throughout the boat there are seventy six windows that can be opened to give maximum opportunity to observe the surroundings. Although there are very few mosquitos, there are insect screens, and the cabins and salon are air-conditioned.

Although the Tucano does not offer fine dining, all the meals served are hearty, delicious and authentic. There are always great scents coming from the galley.
