Ibera Wetlands

One of Argentina’s best kept secrets.

This immense expanse of marshy lagoons and wetlands is located in the northwest of the country.  It is a wildlife haven for; butterflies, river otters, deer, anacondas and nearly four hundred species of birds.

You don’t have to be an expert or even a wildlife enthusiast to enjoy the area. The sight of kingfishers swooping next to your boat, storks nesting in the nearby island or alligators half-submerged, waiting for supper is something that we think everyone will love.

Our local guides are on hand to point out the different wildlife.

The Iberá Wetlands are best enjoyed staying in one of the smaller, family run estancias, who provide utter tranquillity, local home-cooked food and activities from hikes to horse riding in the marshes.
