Ushuaia & Tierra Del Fuego

The end of the world

Dramatic scenery of jagged peaks and glaciers create the backdrop for Ushuaia, the most southerly town in the world and the hopping on and off point for our expeditions to the Antarctic.

There is however so much more to be seen in this spectacular setting squeezed between the snow capped mountains and the Beagle channel.

Hiking the trails with our local guides from trout fishing in pristine lakes, horse riding and wildlife watching where penguins and sea lions congregate to sailing excursions around Cape Horn or to the pioneer ranch of Harberton.

For the more adventurous visit in the winter when we can organise cross country skiing, tours on snow cats or even husky dog sled rides through the wild countryside.

A visit in the autumn when the Lenga forest has turned to colours of scarlet and orange is particularly beautiful

When to go: All year round
