Back in a time warp

On arrival you’ll be whisked away to the stunning town of Antigua. Wake up refreshed in the shadows of colonial architecture in the lavish El Convento situated in the heart of UNESCO-world heritage, Antigua, perched 1,500 metres above sea level.

On your second day with the help of our local expert guide you’ll be discovering exquisite relics that have survived bygone earthquakes, as well as the lavish monasteries at Merced and San Francisco, culminating in the sumptuous cathedral, once the largest in South America.

Get immersed in volcanoes, villages and vitality

Next stop is the Lake Atitlan, crowned by volcanoes and flecked by explosions of exotic flowers. It’s considered one of the most beautiful lakes in the world, best viewed during sunset. Your home for the next few days will be the Hotel Atitlan.

We have left your time here open so you can explore the area at your own pace.  You’ll have a chance to explore Mayan villages by bike, visit the colourful markets that have changed little in centuries and kayak alongside the lake fisherman as they head out on their daily catch.  Indulge in a Mayan sauna, see a live volcano, feel the sand between your toes the lake’s beaches and of course, watch the sun set over the lake.

Jungle fever

After returning to Antigua for one last night we’ll fly you to Flores and transfer you over the border into Belize. Here you’ll be staying at the Blancaneaux, a seriously luxurious eco-lodge owned by the film director Francis Ford Coppola.

The Cayo District is steeped in rainforest. During your stay here you can hike, canoe or just relax in the hammocks serenaded by the crescendo of wild birds and animals. There’s plenty on the agenda, with Mayan Temples carved into rock faces, and lush green surrounding every step.

Be a total son of a beach

Lastly you’ll take a scenic flight over the Ambergris Caye. Awaiting you are turquoise waters, rainbow-coloured fish and stretches upon-stretches of talc-white sand. You’ll be right on the beach in your own private villa, Azul Villas.

You can snorkel in the azure waters or just kickback on the beach.  You’ll be right on the cusp of the Blue Hole, boasting some of the very best and affordable diving in Latin America. Drift into perfect relaxation on your last days here before returning home fully refreshed.
