Straight to the heart of natural beauty
From plane to planes, we take you to the heart of the central rain forest from the start, spending a few nights at Pook’s Hill.
You’ll begin at Mountain Pine Ridge that covers the Mayan mountains, rich with lush woods, orchids, and a bounty of spectacular beauty.
Awaiting you in the wilderness is the lost Mayan city of Caracol, where you can explore the famous Sky Pyramid that climbs 138-ft above the site.
This part of the country has been relatively untouched, and you’ll be among the first to see it, treading the same footsteps of ancient pilgrims who were so wowed by this part of the world, they built their spiritual home here.
Journey into ancient jungle
Get lost in ancient jungles as we take you to the parts other tour guides can’t reach, and straight to the heart of Lamanai, one of Belize’s richest spots for exploring ancient worlds.
The remote setting is the perfect place to get lost in, and to hide the many Mayan treasures that hark back to 700 BC. You’ll be spending the next few days at Lamanai Outpost Lodge.
Climb to the top of temples for jaw-dropping views of forest that stretches like one big green blanket before you. No matter how religious you are, there are few things more soul-inspiring than stumbling across an ancient church or temple in the middle of the world’s most best-preserved wilderness.
Even better is to take a sunset cruise that winds through the rivers that snake their way through these lush tropics, or take a night walk just as nature starts it call of the wild, echoing through the trees for a haunting memory.
Beachside bliss
Lastly we’ll take you onto paradise as we fly to you to the beach beauty of Ambergis Caye, a haven for sandy coves and seaside living. The place oozes history, after being an outpost for the Mayan and European Pirates alike, and brims with thatched-roof villages and fishing boats.
The next few nights will be spent at the Victoria House. Here you’ll have a multitude of activities from snorkelling through exquisite reefs to feasting on the daily fresh fish catches.
To ramp up the adrenalin we’ll take you kayaking through the local Marine Reserve, and a swimming trip through Shark Ray Alley, where you can get up- close and personal with sharks, sting rays. That’s if you dare, except the sharks you’ll mainly be swimming with are not so much Jaws wannabees as docile bottom feeders!
If you want the kick of adrenaline and like your sharks with a bit more bite we can arrange a trip to the Blue Hole. Where you can dive this iconic natural wonder with reef and tiger sharks swimming lazily many metres below you. Jacques Costeau called this one of the top 10 dive sites in the world.
