Get your pulse racing

Touch down in San Jose and spend the first night at the Grano de Oro, just the place for relaxing before the big adventure. The following day get stuck into the adrenaline-fuelled action from day one, as we drop you at the Pacuare River for some grade-3 white water rafting. The area itself is a paradise of exquisite beauty set among rugged mountains that really give a backdrop of wild exploration enough to get the heart racing. Our guide will take you down river to the Pacuare Lodge where you will spend the night.

The next day you’ll take on Grade 4 to 5 rapids to the idyllic gardens of Sarapiqui, an oasis of plantations and swamps, renowned for its vividly-coloured butterflies. Here you will stay at the La Quinta Lodge. After a refreshing night’s sleep you’ll enjoy a day of activities. Start the day with a two hour horse ride through the Hacienda Pozo Azul trails. Afterwards zip through the canopies of the jungle on 12 zip lines and 15 platforms ending with a 900 cable crossing the beautiful Sarapiqui River Canyon. Later in the afternoon you will be transferred to Arenal where you will spend the night at the Arenal Nayara Hotel.

Live volcanoes and hot springs

There are few places in the whole of Costa Rica that wow the eyes as much as the Arenal Volcano, crowned by clouds that offer a glimpse of this natural wonder. After breakfast at the hotel spend the morning getting up close to the flora and fauna on the canopy walkways nearby.
In the afternoon take a hike along one of the trails close to the volcano. Along the way you will pass through forest and over recent lava flows before arriving at thermal hot springs. Here you will soothe weary muscles before heading back refreshed for another night at the Arenal Nayara.

Rincon de la Vieja

Our next stop is the mighty Rio Negro and Rio Blanco in the Rincon de la Vieja, a feast for adventure. Here you will be staying at the Hacienda Guachipelin. Over the next couple of days you’ll gently float downstream on tubes, horse ride through the spectacular scenery and explore the many canyons. There are also plenty of hot springs to enjoy in the region.

Seaside bliss

The adrenalin-buzz takes you from canopies of trees, to seaside bliss. Next stop is Tamarindo on the Guanacaste coast, the perfect place for waterborne adventures. Spend the next three nights at the Cala Luna Hotel. You’re days here are at leisure. Spend the next few days relaxing at the beautiful sandy beaches, swimming, sailing scuba diving, snorkelling and or course, surfing. Suitably relaxed you’ll return to San Jose for one night before returning home.
