A lush tropical region with a cooler climate.
The valley, located inside the caldera of a dormant volcano, is dotted with several picturesque small towns. The cooler spring-like climate means it’s an excellent retreat from the hot bustle of the city and though popular among the Panamanians, it is fairly undiscovered by tourists.
The tropical forests are bursting with exotic bird life and plant species from orchids to bougainvilleas. The Anton Valley offers; fascinating hiking possibilities, mountain biking, zip line tours through the cloud and rain forest or scenic rides on horses enjoying the waterfalls, bubbling streams and creeks that make up the landscape.
Our local guides specialise in the area and know everything about the flora, fauna and geology of the region as well as knowing the off-the-beaten path trails.
If you enjoy markets then it’s also a great place to come. Piled high with local crafts, fresh fruits and vegetables and various wares, the markets are a great place for meeting local people and taking interesting photographs.
