Sapibenega Lodge

This Kuna Lodge is in a secluded and tranquil spot. Sapibenega in the ‘Kuna’ language means Nature. It is the essence and beginning of life.  When famous author John Le Carre stayed in Sapibenega, taking in the island view he said ” This is not paradise. This is heaven”.

The lodge strives to maintain this heaven with eco-sustainable projects like solar panels. Cabins are equipped with private bathroom and balconies with hammocks to enjoy the spectacular landscapes. Though the maximum number of guests is 18 there are two bars & a restaurant and a large outdoor terrace where you can enjoy a romantic dinner in a magic environment while tasting meals cooked with fresh seafood, fruits and vegetables.

Tours are offered to the surrounding uninhabited islands to enjoy the sun, white sand beaches and to swim over the beautiful coral reefs while admiring the sea’s beauty. Additionally, there are cultural excursions to the nearby Kuna communities to know about their culture and history.

Moreover, there are some optional eco–tours for those who love nature, where adventure awaits for them in the rain forest, waterfall, trees and plants whose use will be explained about by a Kuna healer.
