Panama city

First stop is Panama city. Our local guides will be waiting to whisk you away to the Bristol Panama. Relax or head out for a night on the town enjoying the varied nightlife and restaurants on offer.

The next day you’ll head of to take your tour of the world famous canal that has seen every type of vessel from mega container carriers to once a man on a rubber ring!  The choice is yours whether to traverse along its length from Pacific to Atlantic, just pass through the Miraflores locks or have a rather unexpected wildlife spotting session in the artificial lake at the end of the canal among the vessels waiting to go through the canal.

Wildlife rich cloud forest

Fly to the town of David and transfer to the cloud forest town of Boquete high up in the mountains. The area is brimming with colourful birds, towering trees and crystalline streams seeping over velvet-like moss and rock. Go in search of the vivid, and legendary Quetzal bird, believed to bestow spiritual inspiration on those who see it.

Boquete is also full of aromatic treats as a hotbed of coffee production, where you can handle, touch and smell pure beans. Stay at the Panamonte Inn whilst exploring some of Latin America’s best walking trails including the famous Quetzal trail.

Kuna tribes

After a couple of days spent hiking you’ll be ready for another rest so you’ll be whisked away for another night in Panama City before jetting up to the San Blas Islands in the north. Head to the Yandup Lodge, your home for the next few days.

During your stay, you can sit back and relax or if the energy is still buzzing head off on all types of excursions from kayaking, horse riding and snorkelling to sunset cruises and visits to meet the Kuna tribe in the local village. The islands are the epitome of paradise with white sand beaches, turquoise waters and palm trees to get your fresh supply of coconuts from.

Each day of your stay you’ll be pampered with a spa treatment so when you return to Panama City for your last night in the country you’ll be feeling suitable refreshed.
