Located in the port of Colchani, on the eastern shore of the Great Salar de Uyuni the Hotel Palacio de Sal Hotel & Spa, is built entirely of salt: Walls, floors, ceilings, and much of its furniture and decoration and as a result has been voted one of the most unusual hotels in the world.
The rooms while unusual are certainly comfortable and the meals excellent just don’t ask someone to pass the salt!
