EcoGalaxy

EcoGalaxy was built in 2015 with the least environmental footprint possible. Built with high standards for sailing on the Galapagos Islands preserving its fragile ecosystem. The 31m motor catamaran welcomes 16 Passengers with a crew of 8 plus naturalist guide.

On the Sundeck is a solarium with loungers with a 360 degree view. Four cabins are on the Upper Deck behind the bridge, and four twin cabins are found on the main deck. Each air-conditioned cabin has two single beds each with private bathroom, hot water, and safe. On the main deck, there is also a 24-hour coffee station, lounge with library, and briefing area. The lower deck has the dining room, kitchen, and crews’ quarters. The restaurant serves Ecuadorian and international cuisine, with gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan options on request.

The itineraries are designed to showcase the best spots of the archipelago. The guide will explain the flora and fauna of the Galapagos and there will be plenty of chances to snorkel and see the underwater wonders.

A Northern Islands – 5 days / 4 nights

The 5-day central-western tour aboard the catamaran EcoGalaxy gives a quick view of a variety the Galapagos Islands. Includes the seabirds of Genovesa Island,  iguanas of Plazas, snorkelling with sea lions at San Cristobal.

Wed am: Santa Fe – Giant cactus and hawks
pm:  South Plazas – Land iguanas & seabirds

Thu am: North Seymour – sealions, iguanas & seabirds

Fri am: Genovesa – Darwin Bay, frigatebirds & boobies
pm: Genovesa – Prince Philip Steps, seabirds & sharks

Sat am: Santa Cruz – Highlands, tortoises in the wild
Baltra airport departure

 

B Western Islands – 6 days / 5 nights

This 6-day itinerary visits the large scenic volcanic islands of Isabela and Fernandina. You get to see the rare penguins and flightless cormorants, many marine iguanas and a chance to see tortoises in Santa Cruz.

 Isabela – Elizabeth Bay, mangroves, penguins, turtles, herons

pm: Isabela – Tagus Cove, historical anchorage & finches

Tue am: Fernandina – Espinosa Point, marine iguanas, sealions
pm: Isabela – Punta Vicente Roca, scenic dinghy ride and seabirds

Wed am: Santiago – Port Egas James Bay, tidepools and fur seals
pm: Rabida – Sea lions, flamingos, pelicans, finches
Thu am:
 Santa Cruz – Black Turtle Cove, Herons, turtles, sharks
Baltra airport departure.

 

C Eastern and Southern islands – 6 days / 5 nights

See lava flows and seabirds on Santiago and Bartolome. Española, the most southern point of the archipelago, is home to albatross and unique marine iguanas. Floreana has great snorkelling and historical sites.

pm: Española – Gardner Bay, sealions & mockingbirds

Tue am:  San Cristobal – Interpretation Centre

  • 6 days from $4,000 pp, standard cabin

Rates 2024:

  • 5 days from $3,400 pp, standard cabin
  • 6 days from $4,300 pp, standard cabin

Includes: all meals, tea coffee and drinking water, guided excursions, snorkel equipment & wetsuits, use of kayaks & paddleboards, beach towels

Excludes: domestic flights, park fees & transit card, alcoholic beverages, gratuities, insurance.

Above rates are per person for sharing a cabin, please contact us for single prices. Discount for children (6 – 11 years) 10% if share a cabin with parents.
