The Origin and Theory are three of the newest luxury motor vessels in Galapagos. Specifically designed for cruising the Galapagos are among the most comfortable in their class. Origin and Theory & Evolve are members of the Relais & Chateaux collection of luxury boutique hotels and restaurants. The design minimizes environmental impact without sacrificing luxury. The fast speed of the boats means less time travelling and more time to visit the sites.
Features include an experienced crew of 13 including two experienced naturalist guides and concierge service. The gourmet a la carte cuisine is served in an indoor dining room or al-fresco lunch. Interior social areas include a comfortable lounge for evening gatherings, and a library stocked with books on the Galapagos and Darwin. WiFi is included. The Origin & Theory have a boutique offering high-quality Ecuadorian handicrafts and gift items. The indoor bar is always open for hand-crafted cocktails, wine, beer, sodas, juices, coffee, and tea – all included. There is a fitness centre with cardio equipment and yoga mats. On the sun deck there is a Jacuzzi to warm up after snorkelling and loungers to sunbathe.
The ten spacious staterooms feature large floor to ceiling windows for fantastic ocean views. Chic interiors are by a local interior designer with curated art. Cabin amenities include a vanity and lighted mirror, closet, TV with pre-loaded movies, universal docking station, USB, clock, safety deposit box, individual climate control, reading lights, blackout curtains, Nespresso machine and tea kettle, pair of binoculars, and reusable metal water bottles. Bathrooms are modern and bright with a walk-in rainfall shower. Guests are provided with plush towels, bathrobes, slippers, hairdryer, a vanity kit, refillable dispensers. The laundry service is really useful (Mon-Fri not included).
The two 7-night itineraries are designed to see as much variety as possible, and can be combined into a two-week exploration of the entire archipelago. - 8 days from $9,950 pp, in a double stateroom includes open bar, beverages, Satellite Wi-Fi 24/7, wet suits, kayaks, glass-bottomed boat, pre-paid park fees and transit charge.
Excludes local flights, insurance, gratuities, premium wine and spirits not included in the open bar.
Children and teens age 17 years and younger at the time of sailing are entitled to a 15% discount off the cruise rate. Children age 11 and under get a reduced rate on the airfare and the park entrance fee.
